Ingredients for Apple Blondies Recipe.

Ingredients:

  • Butter – You’ll need 1 stick of melted butter for the blondie batter.
  • Brown Sugar – Light brown sugar sweetens the blondies while adding that classic caramel-like blondie flavor.
  • Vanilla Extract – Pure vanilla extract in the batter and glaze brings additional warmth and sweetness.
  • Egg – One large room temperature egg binds the blondies together and helps create a soft bar.
  • Flour – All purpose flour is all you’ll need for this apple blondie recipe.
  • Baking Powder – Helps the apple blondie bars rise and not become too dense.
  • Salt – A pinch of salt brings all the yummy flavors together.
  • Pumpkin Spice – This cozy blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger helps create the perfect fall treat.
  • Apples – Chopped fresh apples add sweetness and delicious bursts of flavor. Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, Fuji, or Pink Lady apples work especially well in these chewy apple blondies.
  • Powdered Sugar – You’ll need some powdered sugar to make the warm glaze that goes over the top of the blondies.
  • Maple Syrup – Pure maple syrup gives the glaze its rich, autumn flavor and natural sweetness

Tools:

  • Parchment Paper – Parchment paper helps prevent the blondies from sticking and makes for easy cleanup!
  • Baking Dish – You’ll need an 8″x 8″ square pan. I love using my Gold Touch baking dish for this recipe, along with my Easy Homemade Applesauce Bars.

How to Make Apple Blondies

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line an 8″×8″ baking pan with parchment paper.

Here’s a helpful trick: crumple the parchment paper into a ball, run it under water, then squeeze out the excess. This softens the paper, making it much easier to mold neatly into your baking dish.
