Made with simple ingredients you probably already have in your pantry, this easy apple blondie recipe is the perfect treat for the fall season. It’s a cozy dessert that your whole family will love!

The Players for Apple Blondies

Ingredients:
- Butter – You’ll need 1 stick of melted butter for the blondie batter.
- Brown Sugar – Light brown sugar sweetens the blondies while adding that classic caramel-like blondie flavor.
- Vanilla Extract – Pure vanilla extract in the batter and glaze brings additional warmth and sweetness.
- Egg – One large room temperature egg binds the blondies together and helps create a soft bar.
- Flour – All purpose flour is all you’ll need for this apple blondie recipe.
- Baking Powder – Helps the apple blondie bars rise and not become too dense.
- Salt – A pinch of salt brings all the yummy flavors together.
- Pumpkin Spice – This cozy blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger helps create the perfect fall treat.
- Apples – Chopped fresh apples add sweetness and delicious bursts of flavor. Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, Fuji, or Pink Lady apples work especially well in these chewy apple blondies.
- Powdered Sugar – You’ll need some powdered sugar to make the warm glaze that goes over the top of the blondies.
- Maple Syrup – Pure maple syrup gives the glaze its rich, autumn flavor and natural sweetness
Tools:
- Parchment Paper – Parchment paper helps prevent the blondies from sticking and makes for easy cleanup!
- Baking Dish – You’ll need an 8″x 8″ square pan. I love using my Gold Touch baking dish for this recipe, along with my Easy Homemade Applesauce Bars.

How to Make Apple Blondies
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line an 8″×8″ baking pan with parchment paper.
Here’s a helpful trick: crumple the parchment paper into a ball, run it under water, then squeeze out the excess. This softens the paper, making it much easier to mold neatly into your baking dish.

Make the Apple Blondies
To a large saucepan, melt your butter and allow it to cool for 5 minutes.

Next, add in the brown sugar, vanilla extract, and egg, and mix well.

To your wet ingredients, add the dry ingredients of flour, baking powder, salt, and pumpkin pie spice.

Add the apple chunks and fold them into the batter. The batter will be thick and paste-like.

Pour the apple blondie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.

Place the blondies into the preheated oven and bake for 25-28 minutes.

Once baked, move the blondies to a wire rack to cool.
Make the Spiced Maple Glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, pumpkin pie spice, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.

Pour the glaze over the warm blondies and allow the apple blondies to cool completely before cutting. To make this even more decadent, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream over a warm blondie slice!

Storage and Reheating Instructions for Apple Blondies
To Store:
Once the apple blondies are completely cooled, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap or place them in an airtight container. They’ll stay fresh at room temperature for up to 3 days.
To Reheat:
Place one blondie on a microwave-safe plate and heat for about 20 seconds until warmed through.
