Ingredients for Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins.
  • Butter – You’ll need melted butter for both the streusel topping and the muffin batter.
  • Flour – Plain all-purpose flour is all you’ll need for these tasty muffins.
  • Brown Sugar – Brown sugar sweetens both the batter and streusel topping while adding a hint of molasses flavor.
  • Pumpkin Puree – The star of this perfect fall muffin recipe! Pumpkin purée keeps the muffins incredibly moist and gives them that signature autumn flavor. Be sure to use 100% pure pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling.
  • Eggs – Two large eggs that are room temperature are needed.
  • Vanilla Extract – A splash of pure vanilla extract brings warmth and sweetness to our muffins.
  • Apples – You’ll need about 2 cups of chopped apples. Any apples you have on hand will work!  I’ve used both Granny Smith and Honeycrisp apples.
  • Pumpkin Pie Spice – This blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves gives these muffins their autumnal flavor. It’s used in both the batter and the streusel,
  • Baking Powder & Baking Soda – These leavening agents help these muffins rise beautifully and stay soft on the inside.
  • Salt – Just a pinch of salt balances the sweetness.
