Juicy chicken breasts, and flavorful rice, topped with an onion seasoning and shredded cheese is the perfect and easiest dinner for weeknights. Everything is mixed in one baking dish and baked in the oven.

The Players for TikTok Chicken and Rice Recipe

Ingredients:
- Rice – You’ll need long grain rice that has been rinsed thoroughly under cold water.
- Chicken Soup – To make this creamy cheese chicken rice bake, you’ll need a family size can(22.6 oz) of cream of chicken soup. Or you can use two 10.5-ounce cans of cream of chicken soup if you can’t find the family size.
- Broth – You’ll need 1 cup chicken broth or you can use water in a pinch.
- Chicken – 2 lbs chicken breast is what you’ll need, which equals about 3-4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Alternatively, you can also use juicy chicken thighs, chicken tenders, or cubed chicken breasts.
- Salt and Pepper – About 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper is what you’ll use to season chicken breasts.
- Garlic Powder – We’ll be sprinkling about 1 tsp garlic powder on top of our chicken.
- Onion Soup Mix – Using one packet of onion soup mix will give our chicken a wonderful flavor, plus it provides an extra crunch top when you go bite into your chicken!
- Broccoli – I’m using fresh broccoli florets for our TikTok Chicken and Rice bake. You can also use a combination of broccoli and cauliflower if you’d like!
- Cheese – You can use any cheese that you have in your fridge. I’m using extra sharp cheddar cheese that I’ve grated myself. Grating your own block cheese is not only cheaper, but it eliminates the anti-caking agent that is found on all store-bought pre-shredded cheese. This anti-caking agent keeps the cheese from sticking together in the bag, however, it is very difficult to melt down.
Tools:
- Baking Dish – You can use any casserole dish that you have on hand. I’m using a glass Pyrex baking dish for this TikTok Chicken and Rice Casserole. Even a pretty white baking casserole dish would be lovely!
- Strainer – While optional, I highly recommend using a mesh strainer to rinse off your uncooked white rice. Rinsing your rice not only removes excess starch, but it helps to clean the rice and remove any foreign particles while it was being transported.
How to make TikTok Chicken and Rice Recipe
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray your baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
To your prepared baking dish, pour in your rinsed uncooked white rice. Add in your cream of chicken soup along with the chicken broth and give it a good stir until all of the rice is fully incorporated.




Place your chicken breasts on top of the rice mixture and sprinkle the chicken with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Add your broccoli florets around the chicken breasts and slightly press the florets down into the rice mixture. The broccoli doesn’t need to be fully submerged, they can poke out of the rice.
Sprinkle 1 whole packet of onion soup mix over the top of the chicken, broccoli, and rice mixture.




Cover with Foil and Bake
Cover the top of the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it into the oven. Bake it covered with the foil for 55 minutes.
Once your timer is up, remove the chicken from the oven, and remove the foil. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the tops of the chicken, broccoli, and rice. Place your chicken and rice casserole back into the oven, uncovered, for several additional minutes until the cheese has melted. This should take about 5 minutes.



Remove your one pan chicken and rice bake from the oven and allow it to rest for 10-15 minutes. The internal temperature of your chicken breasts should be 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 C). Serve with a side salad, One-Hour Honey Butter Dinner Rolls or my 5 Minute Easy Garlic Bread Recipe. Enjoy!
Storage and Reheating Instructions
To store your TikTok Chicken and Rice bake, place any leftovers into an airtight container or wrap it with plastic wrap. It will keep in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. To reheat, place your chicken and rice bake onto a microwave-safe plate and heat in the microwave at 50% power for 2-3 minutes until warmed through.

Switching up the TikTok Chicken and Rice Recipe
This is a great one pan meal that can easily be adjusted to your preferences and tastes. Try out these additional seasonings and ingredients next time:
- Add some more seasonings to the recipe by adding 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp onion powder, and 1 tsp oregano.
- Sprinkle green onions or fresh parsley over the top of the bake once it’s done cooking.
- Substitute the cream of chicken for two 10.5-oz cans cream of celery soup, cream of mushroom soup, or cheddar cheese soup!
- Add 1/2 cup of sour cream to your soup mixture.
- Make this a zesty dish by using Mexican rice and using Mexican seasonings like cumin and chili powder!
