The Players for Starbucks Chicken Salad

List of Ingredients:

  • Shredded Chicken – I use canned chicken that has been drained well for this copycat recipe. Additionally, you can also use shredded chicken breasts or rotisserie chicken if you prefer!
  • Celery – You’ll need 2 celery stalks that have been washed well and diced to make this tarragon chicken salad sandwich recipe.
  • Grapes – However, while the original recipe calls for dried cranberries, my husband prefers grapes.rs grapes. If you want to stay true to the recipe, swap out the 1 1/2 cup of grapes for 1 1/2 cup of dried cranberries.
  • Mayonnaise – To make these chicken salad sandwiches, you’ll need 1/2 cup mayonnaise.
  • Greek Yogurt – Greek yogurt is used in the dressing to make it slightly tangy and creamy.
  • Lemon Juice – To bring freshness to this Starbucks Tarragon Chicken Salad, you’ll need some fresh lemon juice.
  • Tarragon – Tarragon has a distinct, slightly sweet, and herbal flavor that has hints of licorice. Dried or fresh tarragon is needed to make this recipe. Even better if you can find French tarragon!
  • Garlic Powder – Just a sprinkling of garlic powder is all you’ll need.
  • Salt and Pepper – Use salt and pepper to taste.

How to make Starbucks Chicken Salad

If using, take your canned chicken and drain it in a colander.  Be sure to shred any large chunks with a fork or your fingers to create a consistent texture for mixing.

In a large bowl, add the shredded chicken, diced celery, and grapes (or dried cranberries).

Add the celery and cranberries (or grapes, in this case) to the shredded chicken.

Along with mayo, yogurt, seasonings, and lemon juice.

Add the mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and seasonings to the bowl and mix the chicken mixture well.

Meanwhile, cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to let the flavors meld. Serve the chicken salad on croissants, whole wheat bread with fresh lettuce leaves or simply eat it with crackers. Enjoy!

  • 3 12-ounce canned chicken, drained or leftover shredded chicken
  • 3 celery stalks, diced
  • 1 1/2 cups dried cranberries or quartered grapes
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp tarragon powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
