The Players for Starbucks White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew

Ingredients:
- Cold Brew – Making your own cold brew at home is super easy and much more affordable. However, you can also use your favorite store-bought cold brew too!
- Macadamia Syrup – I love this brand of Macadamia Nut Syrup! If you’ve never tried Macadamia Nut syrup, it has a nutty, rich, and creamy taste that also carries the distinct taste of buttery macadamia nuts. You’ll also taste hints of subtle caramel and toffee flavors, it’s absolutely delicious! You’ll need a few tablespoons for this copycat Starbucks recipe.
- White Chocolate Syrup – You can use any white chocolate sauce you’d like, but this white chocolate syrup is fantastic in this iced coffee drink.
- Heavy Cream – This is used to create that thick, silky foam that sits on top of your cold brew. You can also use almond milk, oat milk, or whole milk, but you might not get the rich, creamy cold foam that you would with heavy cream.
- Shortbread Cookies – This drink has cookie crumbles that sits on top of the cold brew foam. For this recipe, I’m using crushed Biscoff cookies but feel free to use your favorite type of shortbread cookie.
Tools:
- Milk Frother – You’ll need a handheld milk frother to create that creamy foam. If you have an electric milk steamer, use the cold foam option to make your white chocolate foam. Additionally, you can also use a blender to make the cold foam.
How to make Starbucks Copycat White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cold Brew
The popular coffee shop uses Starbucks’ signature cold brew. However, I highly recommend that you make your own homemade cold brew. If you go this route, you’ll want to start this recipe the day before so that your cold brew can steep in the refrigerator for at least 20 hours.
Homemade cold brew is much more affordable than store-bought, plus you get more coffee for your buck! You also get to experiment with different varieties of coffee beans and see what you prefer in a cold brew recipe. See my more in depth blog post here for the recipe for homemade cold brew.
In a tall glass, add 1 tablespoon of macadamia nut syrup. This copycat recipe calls for 2 tablespoons total, but feel free to use more syrup if you want it a bit sweeter. That’s what’s perfect about making this iced white chocolate mocha cold brew recipe at home, you can make it your own!

To your glass, pour in your cold brew. If you’re using homemade cold brew, you’ll want to dilute it with equal parts of cold water. However, if you’re using store-bought cold brew, double-check whether your cold brew is concentrated. If it’s not concentrated, add as much of the cold brew as you’d like. If you want super cold coffee, throw a couple of ice cubes into your glass.
Make the Cold Foam
In a separate small glass or small jar, add 1 tablespoon of macadamia nut syrup and 1 tablespoon of white chocolate sauce. Pour in 1/4 cup of heavy cream. If you want to make extra foam, use anywhere from 1/3 cup to 1/2 of heavy cream. Using your milk frother, blend your syrups and milk together for about 15-20 seconds. It gets really thick, pretty fast!

Pour your cold foam over the top of your cold brew. The foam will be pretty thick, so you might need to use a spoon to dollop the cold foam on top.

Cookie Crumb Topping
If you’re wanting to add ‘cookie sprinkles’ to the top of your Starbucks Copycat White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cold Brew, place a few of your desired cookies in a sandwich bag. Take a rolling pin, mallet or heavy spoon, and crush your cookies until it makes a fine crumb. If you want to add shortbread cookies, but find it’s too sweet, sprinkle a bit of sea salt over the top to create salty cookie crumbs.
