Hello my friends! Here’s a tour of my studio room at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World!
Ahh, Bay Lake Tower. Pretty much the coolest resort ever! First off, you’re about a 15 minute walk away from the Magic Kingdom. Second, you have the monorail at your disposal to visit other resorts like the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian. AND you can visit Epcot by hopping off your monorail at the Ticket and Transportation Center and getting onto a new monorail line that heads directly to Epcot!
Bay Lake Tower is connected to Disney’s Contemporary Resort via a Sky Way Bridge. So while there is no monorail station at Bay Lake Tower itself, it’s only a quick walk from Bay Lake Tower to the monorail station located on the 4th floor of the Contemporary. Have I sold you yet on the location?! No? Well, I think this room tour will convince you otherwise!
The very first thing upon walking into my room (#7423 on the 4th floor), is the nicely appointed restroom.
I was shocked to see actual travel sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion here! All-Star Movies and Animal Kingdom Lodge only provided the built in dispensers so this was a welcome change!
Also to add, I absolutely loved the colors in this room! Woods, muted teals, with pops of bright deep oranges, so nice and modern! You can see lots more of my room tour on my Bay Lake Tower Studio Room Tour on my YouTube channel.
The Kitchenette Area
I’m beyond impressed with the space they did here. In fact, I think this has to be the best layout of any studio resort i’ve stayed in! I love that the kitchenette has it’s own space and is not shared with the living area. Which means if you’re an early bird (like me! Um, who sleeps in on Disney vacations? Gonzo’s that’s who haha!) you can get your coffee ready without disturbing anyone! The wall will help any noise from entering the couch and bed area. Genius!
This Lake View Studio Villa does offer a 12 cup coffee maker so bring your basket filters and ground coffee from home.
A mini-fridge is provided which i’m so grateful they have not switched out to the beverage coolers like they have at Disney’s All-Star Movies. I just don’t understand the meaning behind replacing a mini-fridge with a cooler. I mean, if you have small children who need milk as soon as they wake up, this would be a nightmare for some parents! Thankfully, that is not the case at Bay Lake Tower…at least for now.
This room provides you with an ultra comfortable queen-sized bed and a pull-out sofa bed. Across the way from the sofa, you have your closet, dresser and tv. Doesn’t the TV seem a little small for this room? Don’t you think it would be a lot more, oh I don’t know, M O D E R N, if they mounted the tv on the wall? Oh well, the fact that they have the ‘old’ Disney menu makes everything all-right in the world. And if you don’t know what i’m talking about, you can read about the new interactive TV’s that Disney is trying to incorporate into all their resorts eventually.
I booked a Lake View Studio so was excited to see this lake view. But not only was it a lake view, it was a pool view as well! And a gorgeous view it is.
I wasn’t there long enough to check it out, but it looks like there are several fun outdoor activities for the entire family to enjoy!
My Overall Thoughts on Bay Lake Tower
I really enjoyed my stay here and can’t wait to check out the other viewing options that are available. And I love that Steakhouse 71 and California Grill are just a quick walk away at the Contemporary! The food at both restaurants are absolutely incredible, but definitely be sure to make your reservations 60 days out to ensure a spot at these high-demand places.
Have you ever stayed at Bay Lake Tower?
