While the lodge is not located in downtown Cambria, it is just up the hill, so you’re only a minutes’ drive away from highly rated restaurants, shops, wine tasting, and other outdoor activities that Cambria has to offer.
Cambria Pines Lodge Review
My family has been staying at the Cambria Pines Lodge for many years now and it’s the perfect place for couples, large families, and multiple-family stays as they offer various types of room accommodations. Here is my Cambria Pines Lodge review.
On our most recent stay, we booked a Large Suite, that provides a separate living area and bedroom, so that our family of 5 can spread out and be comfortable. They are great rooms. Furthermore, when you book any room type at Cambria Pines Lodge, you receive a complimentary breakfast buffet for each morning of your stay. And it’s a great, filling breakfast too!
Large Suite Room Tour
Upon walking into one of the Large Suites at Cambria Pines Lodge, you’ll notice how large and spacious the living space is!
You have a sofa that turns into a double-sized bed, two armchairs, a gas fireplace, and a dining table with two more chairs, providing ample space for guests to hang out in the living room. In addition, the living room also contains a queen-sized Murphy bed that is hidden in the wall. To get the Murphy bed down, you must call the front desk and they’ll send someone to pull it down for you, as it’s only unlocked with a key.
There’s a kitchenette area that contains a mini-fridge, microwave and a coffee-maker along with a sink and additional counter space.
The restroom is a Jack-and-Jill type bathroom, where the front room and master bedroom are connected, which is great so that there isn’t only one entrance and exit route. You have a shower/tub combination in one of the areas of the bathroom. and the other part of the bathroom is the toilet area. Both areas have a door in-between for privacy.
Master Bedroom Area
Your master bedroom is quite large with your own gas fireplace and patio (or balcony depending on what suite they put you in). The king size beds is quite comfortable with lots of pillows.
There’s a large desk area if you’re needing to work or to charge all of your electronic devices. There’s also a large dresser, a flat-screen with satellite tv, and side tables.
In the master bedroom is an additional vanity area with a sink and extra towels, along with more counter space.
We were given a patio room that has lovely outdoor seating. The private patios are the perfect space to have a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
Large Suite Review continued.
This is our third stay in a Large Suite, and have always been very comfortable and happy in these types of suites. They are large enough for all 5 of us to move around without bumping into one another, yet intimate enough to not feel too far away from our kids when sleeping at night. Sometimes the separation is much needed and appreciated with kids. Not just for the adults, but for the kids as well haha!
The only gripe in my Cambria Pines Lodge review, is that the free wi-fi that is offered, isn’t the most dependable. If you’re needing to work using the internet and you’re having issues, call the front desk, as they occasionally have to restart the router.

Cambria Lodge Gardens
One of the highlights of staying at Cambria Pines Lodge is the carefully manicured and beautiful gardens they have on their property.
A lot of the areas remind me of the Secret Garden, with hidden doors and gorgeous flowers and plants everywhere you look. They even have a wonderful section of birdhouses that have amazing succulents and other flowers growing on them!
There’s a gazebo for weddings or a place for the kids to run around and let off some steam. It’s incredibly relaxing and inviting.
