Batter Ingredients

flour

sugar

baking powder

tsp

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a 12" cast iron skillet, melt butter and run the butter along the sides of the skillet to grease it.
Add the sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the skillet and cook the apples for 3-4 minutes.
Add in the lemon juice and flour to help thicken the sauce that is being made and cook for an additional minute.
In a bowl, combine all of the batter ingredients together and pour over the apples.
Place the skillet into the oven and bake for 35-38 minutes. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy!
Notes
* Feel free to use any apples you have on hand. I'm using 4 granny smith apples but feel free to use a combination of any apples!
