Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is the fifth Disney Vacation Club (DVC) resort to open on Walt Disney World property. It’s themed after Saratoga Springs in New York, which is well-known for horse racing, the slow-paced leisure life, and Victorian architecture.
Throughout this Deluxe resort, you’ll see horse racing touches in the artwork and sculptures, muted greens and earthy tones with pops of color on the buildings, and an overall natural beauty with lush open spaces.

This Disney resort hotel is located in the Disney Springs Resort Area, making it a great choice to vacation here with convenient access to both the theme parks and Disney Springs.
The Carriage House at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa is the main building of this large resort, where you can find the check-in desk, concierge, dining, and shopping. It is centrally located which makes it a great place to meet up if you have a larger party that is spread out over the property.
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort Studio Tour
I booked this room only 2-3 months out from the dates I was looking for. Disney’s Saratoga Springs and Disney’s Old Key West Resort are both large resorts, so I knew I could snag a room very last minute (even during Spring break!). But upon checking in, I was shocked to see why it wasn’t filled up right away. Wow!

I was placed in room number 7312 in The Carousel area of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort. Immediately, I was greeted with natural light coming from the sliding doors of my balcony which was a lovely welcome.

Kitchenette and Bathroom in Disney’s Saratoga Springs Villa Tour
To your left, is a kitchenette with a coffee maker, mini refrigerator, and a microwave. They also supply some paper plates, cups, and plastic utensils. I highly recommend bringing your own coffee filters and ground coffee with you or at least ordering it through a grocery delivery service. While the supplied coffee is just fine, I love being able to sip on some good-quality coffee.

To your right, is the vanity area of the bathroom, with a sink and large mirror. The closet contained a good amount of hangers, a vacuum cleaner, a broom, an ironing board, and extra blankets. I was actually shocked to see both the broom and vacuum in there!
Last year when I visited Walt Disney World for my Solo vacation, I was told that they would be getting rid of all the brooms and vacuums from the rooms and that you would have to call ‘mousekeeping’ to bring you one. So to see both, even though I knew I wouldn’t be needing them, was a pleasant surprise.
Through a separate door, is the toilet and shower area that has both a rain shower head and a hand-held attachment. I love that they include both because it makes bathing kids easier with that attachment.

Bedroom and Living Area at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
The main area of our Disney’s Saratoga Springs Studio Tour is absolutely stunning, fresh, and vibrant! The queen-sized bed was incredibly comfortable after a long, hot day at Animal Kingdom. The artwork was very subtle Disney, with equestrian silhouettes.
I think that horse is from the Disney short film, “Dude Duck” when Donald Duck visits a Dude Ranch and the horse, Rover Boy, is not at all cooperative with Donald. What a fun nod to vintage Disney! On both sides of the bed are nightstands that both contain outlets and USB ports on the lamps.

Next to the queen bed, is your living room area, equipped with a couch that turns into a Murphy bed and a coffee table that is not only a fully-functioning tv tray to eat off of, but it can also be used for storage! Love the dual purposes of the furniture that is placed in Disney rooms. Also note, there is no carpet, not even a rug in this room. While I know some folks hate that, I love knowing that I can step down onto a clean floor in the morning without worrying about getting dirty feet haha.

Does anyone know what movie or show the artwork is from, shown hidden in the Murphy bed? It’s such an adorable photo, but can’t figure out where it’s from.

Dresser and Patio View
Opposite the living area is a large dresser, flat screen TV, and a bench with storage. The dresser has 6 large drawers with outlets located on the sides of the dresser, not on top of the counter space area, where you’d expect to find them! Which I’m loving, since it keeps the aesthetic of the room very clean and crisp looking. If you travel with a lot of electronic devices, I do suggest bringing a power strip that has both outlets and USB ports on it to keep everything organized.

The view from my balcony at this Deluxe villa resort, while having no view in particular, was still lovely. My view of the beautifully maintained gardens was beneath me, however, I loved that I was able to see the bus stop from my balcony. I know some would not enjoy seeing or hearing buses out of their balcony, but to me, it was enjoyable knowing that families were getting ready to enjoy the theme parks or them coming back from the parks and gearing up for a day at their ‘home’.

Map of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa

While The Carousel area appears to be very far away from the main area of this Disney Vacation Club resort, it was actually really nice. The next morning upon checking out, I decided to walk with my luggage back to the Carriage House to see just how long it took. It took me a total of about 10 minutes which was wonderful, and a gorgeous walk too!
Laundry at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa

While there are several laundry facilities located on the property, if you’re staying in The Carousel area, the closest facility is located at The Paddock Pool. This was about a 5-minute walk away from my hotel room. Speaking of The Paddock Pool, if you would like to see the pool and laundry room, check out my YouTube video on Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort Tour. Not shown on that video though, is the massive hot tub, that lots of folks enjoyed during my evening swimming session.
Overall Thoughts on My Deluxe Studio at Disney’s Saratoga Springs
I’m shocked that I haven’t booked a room sooner here! I couldn’t get over how fresh and lively my room was. From what I recall, the last time I had stayed at this resort, it was drab and dark. This is probably why I had stayed at other DVC resorts and hadn’t returned to this one in over 10 years. I didn’t realize they had done a massive refurb of the rooms ending in 2021.

My studio villa was incredibly clean, the bed had the perfect amount of firmness and was not overly used (probably because it’s still new!), and everything was in great working condition. Well, aside from the light in the Murphy bed, but that was not a problem for me.
My only regret was not being able to explore this resort more. There is lots to offer at this Disney Deluxe Villa resort, so I’m hoping in the future I will be able to take advantage of all it has to offer.
