Ingredients

  • 1 slice of bread or 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 12 ounces chili sauce
  • 15 ounces grape jelly

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, add one slice of bread and combine with the milk.  Allow it to sit for 1 minute to allow the bread to soak up the milk.  Add in your egg and seasonings and mix together well.
  • Add your ground beef and ground pork and combine ground meat together with your hands or a wooden spoon.
  • Take the meat and form into golf ball-sized meatballs and set aside.
  • Make your sweet and sour sauce by combining chili sauce and grape jelly together.
  • Pour half of the sauce into the bottom of your Instant Pot, followed by the meatballs, and lastly, add the remaining sauce on top.
  • Place the lid of your Instant Pot on and set the valve to Sealing. Cook the meatballs on High Pressure for 12 minutes. When the time is up, allow the meatballs to release naturally for 5 minutes.  Carefully move the valve from Sealing to Venting and wait for the float valve pin to drop before removing the lid. *Serve over rice. Enjoy!

Notes

*If you want to make your sauce thicker, make a cornstarch slurry by combining 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of water in a small bowl and add it directly to the meatballs and sauce.
