Homemade Mini Pop Tart Bites Recipe

These delicious Homemade Mini Pop Tart Bites are easy to make,  freezer-friendly, and are the perfect bite-sized treat for your kids  lunchbox!

Using simple ingredients (can use store-bought or homemade pie dough!), you can whip these up in no time!

Cut small squares out of your pie crust and spread your favorite filling.  I'm using strawberry preserves and Nutella!

Fold in the sides until you create a small pop tart bite and place seam side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Poke a few holes on the tops to allow steam to escape.  If you're doing two different filling flavors, vary the amount of holes to spot the difference in flavors!

Brush the tops and sides of the mini pop tarts with an egg wash and bake until golden brown.

Allow the homemade pop tarts to cool completely before adding the icing.

Add sprinkles right away to the icing if using, as the frosting sets pretty quickly!

I made a cinnamon-flavored icing for the nutella filled pop tart bites!

This tasty snack is better than the store-bought version and are filled  with strawberry preserves and Nutella that the whole family will love!
