Copycat  Panera Bread Glazed Orange Scones

This Copycat Panera Bread Orange Scones recipe has a deliciously bright orange flavor and are the perfect breakfast option with a cup of tea or coffee.

Panera’s orange scones are not only easy to make at home, but they are  very affordable to make, and dare I say, better than the Panera version!

Scones are easier to make than you think!  The step by step instructions are linked down below, but mix the dough together until it forms a ball.  It will be crumbly but that's perfect!

Flatten out your dough into a disc and cut an 'X' mark using a sharp knife into the scone dough.

Then make a "+" sign into the scone dough to create 8 equally sized Panera orange scones.

Move the unbaked scones to a cookie sheet that's lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and bake.

While the scones are cooling, make the sweet orange glaze for our delicious scones, using lots of fresh orange zest, just like Panera Bread's Recipe

Dunk your cooled orange scones into the icing or take a spoon and spoon the icing over the tops, and allow them to rest on a cookie sheet to harden.

You can even see the flecks of orange zest just like Panera's orange scone recipe! They are incredibly delicious!
